rel=\"noopener\">Instituto de Tecnolog\u00eda Qu\u00edmica (UPV-CSIC)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Many industrial pollutants are organic compounds, such as pesticides, which can be degraded by advanced oxidation techniques. However, their optimization for industrial use is limited, with ozone being the most widespread technology. In this sense, we have developed a new material based on TiO2 that can remove any organic compound from water only with light. Its high efficiency and low danger are the two great benefits over the technologies currently on the market based on using a highly dangerous gas such as ozone.
